Hire full-stack developers

Hire Full-Stack Developers

Hire full-stack developers who own a feature end to end: the schema, the API, the interface and the deploy. React or Next.js on the front, Node.js or Python on the back, and enough judgement to know where the complexity should live.

A monthly full-stack engineer moves the roadmap forward with the least coordination cost. Hourly suits a self-contained build, an MVP, or a feature with a clear finish line.

  • Feature delivery
  • MVP builds
  • Integrations
  • Deploy and environments

Most delay in product work comes from the seams between roles: the front-end waiting on an API, the API built without knowing how the screen uses it, a data model that read well in isolation and badly in practice. A full-stack developer removes those seams by carrying the feature across all of them.

The engineers we place are genuinely full-stack, not a front-end developer who can edit a route or a back-end developer who can style a button. They design the table, write the endpoint with validation and auth, build the interface with proper loading and error states, and set up the pipeline that ships it.

They know their limits too. When a task needs deep specialism on one side, a database that needs real tuning or a mobile build, they say so and we bring in the right person rather than let one engineer guess.

What these developers do

Feature delivery

Vertical slices in an existing product, front and back together.

MVP builds

From an empty repo to a deployed product with auth, data and CI.

Integrations

Payments, auth providers, CRMs and analytics, with webhooks and queues.

Deploy and environments

CI/CD, staging and production, rollback and basic observability.

Questions we get asked

How do you tell a genuine full-stack developer from a front-end developer who can edit a route?

The exercise asks them to design a small feature end to end: the table, the endpoint with validation and auth, and the interface with loading and error states. It is obvious within an hour whether one side is real and the other is guessed.

When would you put two people on a feature instead of one full-stack developer?

When a part needs depth a generalist should not fake: a database that needs real tuning, a security-sensitive auth flow, a heavy data pipeline, or a native mobile build. We say so up front rather than let one person stretch and slip.

How long until they are productive in our codebase?

For a reasonably documented codebase, small pull requests in the first few days and full pace within two weeks. We ask for a short onboarding session and a first task that is real but low-risk.

What is included in the rate?

The engineer, their equipment, code review and lead oversight. Dedicated QA, project management and design are separate roles. No setup fee.

What notice period applies?

One month minimum on a monthly engagement, then 30 days notice either way. Hourly work winds down at the end of any week.
